Wednesday was our first day in the snow. We woke up, got our snow suits on, and ventured out the backdoor to play with Aunt Di, Uncle Steve, Monica, and Michelle. Maya really enjoyed sledding...until she went with me and we crashed (I thought it was hilarious, but she--face covered in snow--really did not see the humor). Cortlyn enjoyed a couple of rides down the hill on the sled as well, then made herself at home near the base of our snowman-to-be where she realized that snow is actually quite tasty. Eventually our snowman came together--complete with stick arms and rock eyes that Maya and Cortlyn found with Aunt Di. Later that evening, after Maya and Cortlyn ate their snowman cupcakes (made with Monica and Michelle), we headed out to the ski shop to rent our ski equipment!
