Maya's 2nd Grade Awards & Field Day

Maya enjoyed her 2nd grade class awards day.  She got lots of standard awards (honor roll, attendance, citizenship, etc.), but also got an extra award for 'Most Creative Book Reports' (She was very proud of that one--specifically because she got a trophy).  She continuously told me that Miss Phillips asked them to go "above and beyond" with their work (too funny to hear her say it) and she sure did stick to it with book reports--good grief.  She was determined to make them flawless and unique/creative (don't know where she gets that trait from??)...

In addition to that award, she was also voted 'Most Athletic' and 'Most Spirited' in her class. =) 

Field Day is always a fun way to wrap up the year as well.  Maya went full-force this year with cleats so she wouldn't lose her grip on the ground while competing in the different events (she's sweet, but boy did she inherit some competitive bones--look out!!).  She had SO much fun!!

Can't believe 3 YEARS of elementary school have come to an end already!!!
