After leaving San Antonio, we headed down to the Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, where we would spend the next 3 days. We had such a great time there too.
On our first day, we soaked up the sun--floating in the lazy river, going on the slide, and playing in the pool and beach area. Maya made friends quickly on the soccer field and joined them every day/night from then on out!--Although it's hard to see, I had to include the picture I took of her playing after dinner our first night there--in her dress and flip flops--still getting after that ball! =) Cortlyn even decided to kick a ball around herself some, even though she wasn't old enough to join the big kids (nevermind that she kept right on going into the flower beds--oops). And, they were both instant fans of the frozen lemonade--very refreshing!
Of course, Cortlyn had to have her picture taken on the horse statue, so Maya followed her lead...
And, we made sure to get down to the fire pits, so they could roast some marshmallows and make smores before the night was over--YUM. Cortlyn got a bit carried away with her marshmallows and Mac had to come to the rescue before she torched Maya--One of them completely caught on fire. As you can see in the second smores picture, it is pretty toasted. =) She kept it in a TAD too long!
