Mac headed out to Scotland for soccer and Bop had to work too, so we took our first girls trip with Mimi to Perdido Key in Florida. We hit the road immediately after dropping Mac off at the airport on the morning of Friday, August 6th and got home LATE in the evening on the 10th. It was a wonderful, relaxing 4 days away.
On our way there, I was determined to stop at the welcome centers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama since Maya and Cortlyn have never been to any of those states. We were just passing through, so I figured that would be the best place to get a picture so they'd at least have some evidence to remember that they'd been there. We ended up missing Alabama's on the way there because we got stuck in a lot of traffic on a very LONG bridge right outside Baton Rouge, LA. It was so late, we just wanted to get to Florida, so we decided we'd get their Alabama picture on the way back. =)
